Software & setup
Find the current RES and RQR download status and understand what setup establishes.
Choose a website display language at the bottom of this page. Account creation, robot records and software installation are separate steps.
RES and RQR downloads
A self-service RES/RQR runtime installer is not currently available. Controlled Raspberry Pi packages and startup and recovery tests exist, but they are not a general customer installer. Contact LOR for setup questions and check this page for a supported release.
Whitepaper PDFs and GRRC offline-verification tools are separate resources; neither installs RES or RQR. A setup guide describes a process and is not itself runtime software.
Raspberry Pi compatibility
There is no general supported Raspberry Pi installation path available yet. Existing controlled Pi work does not establish compatibility with every Pi model or operating system. Use only a release that identifies its supported hardware, architecture, operating system, component versions and dependencies. A robot record or payment does not establish compatibility.
Account, robot record and software setup
For account access, verify your email, create a device-verified passkey and explicitly sign in. The one-time Owner fee is USD 10; after Owner payment, enter robot details and pay the USD 1 new-robot fee. Return to LOR and choose Complete robot addition to create the robot record. These account and robot-record services do not install RES/RQR software or include an unspecified support or update service.
GRRC certification is optional for normal RES/RQR use. It reports a bounded trust result; it does not install software or grant task authority. RES governs decisions under the Laws and Owner rules. RQR organizes evidence and coordinates authorized work.
When a supported software release is available, follow its matching instructions to verify the download, install on its declared target, connect the intended Owner and robot context, start the components and check the documented result. Installation health, account/payment, robot binding, signed curriculum, certification and task authority answer different questions.
Planned runtime setup choices
Two runtime setup options are planned: link an installation to an existing LOR Owner account, Estate and robot record; or use an independent self-hosted Owner account and Estate. Both runtime flows remain in development. Native account linkage and self-hosted onboarding are not yet operational. Existing accounts, Estates and histories must not be silently duplicated or merged.

Updates, restart and recovery
A supported release must provide its own stop, restart, update, rollback and recovery instructions. There is no general RES/RQR installation or recovery command to follow here yet. Preserve existing identities and history; do not create a replacement Owner account to fix a software or sign-in problem.
For a lost passkey or private account, Billing or robot-record issue, use the Owner application's recovery and support process. Installation errors, robot-binding problems, key or database loss and certificate warnings need their corresponding guidance. Public Karel can explain these public pages, but cannot inspect or repair your account or installation. Keep passkeys, recovery links, signing keys, credentials and private records out of Karel.
What a supported release will include
The release listing will identify its actual download, matched RES/RQR versions, integrity verification, supported Pi and operating system, component locations, storage and other dependencies, tested use, first-start checks, and update and recovery instructions. Until a qualified matching package is available, this page provides guidance rather than a runtime download.
